Affiliate & sponsorship disclosure

How Kodbe makes money, and why it never changes what we recommend.

Get started: Read the editorial policy

In plain English

Today, Kodbe carries no affiliate links or sponsored content and sells nothing. If that changes, some links to tools, hosting, or services may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never determines our verdict, and we will happily tell you to skip a tool or hire a professional.

What to expect

  • Affiliate links may appear on comparison, tool, and resource pages, and are disclosed where they appear.
  • Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labeled as sponsored and never buys a favorable assessment.
  • We may sell our own resources (checklists, templates, and guides); those are clearly ours.

The editorial firewall

Our assessments are based on documentation review and how well a tool fits a real day-2 need, not on what pays us. If a free, built-in option is enough, we will tell you to use it.

We do not invent hands-on testing, benchmarks, ratings, or prices to justify a recommendation.

How we choose the tools we mention — We look at day-2 fit: how maintainable a tool is, how easily you can export your data and code, and its documented security posture. Our method and criteria are explained in our tool-rating write-up.

Disclosure FAQ

No. Affiliate links do not change your price; the vendor may share a commission with us.

Do you only recommend tools that pay you?

No. We recommend what fits, including free and built-in options and tools with no affiliate program, and we recommend skipping tools when appropriate.

Do sponsors get better reviews?

No. Sponsorship is labeled and never buys a verdict. Our assessments are independent.

Where will I see disclosures?

On pages that contain affiliate or sponsored links, near the relevant content, plus this page.
